Provides Instruction in Indigenous Horticulture and Technology. Students will learn hands-on building techniques used around the world using natural resources for the construction. Students will practice building a 20×20 cottage made of raw materials from the Yumwija site.

Introduction to Environment Health | This 1 day workshop explores environmental health factors and the effects of the socio-economic, medical, behavioral and lifestyle of Amerindians. This workshop teaches Amerindians about their relationship to and responsibility for the eco-land system called America. The workshop will educate participants about the affect of environmental destruction on indigenous people’s health and their future generations. |
Introduction Community Health Empowerment | This 1 day workshop explores the deteriorating health status of Amerindians and the impact on future generations. The workshop will introduce the Indigenous Health Action Plan which promotes a community approach to health empowerment and wellness. The Indigenous Health Action Plan is a national plan designed to improve the health status of Amerindians and their future generations through reconnecting to indigenous health practices which embrace and sustain our lives. This workshop will also address lifestyle issues as well as community practices. Indigenous Building Skills: Students will learn hands on building techniques used around the world using natural resources for the construction.
